History

The home at 3771 Washington was built in 1907 for the family of Henry Ford Hoit. Hoit was one of Kansas City’s most prominent architects. He and his firm of Hoit, Price and Barnes were responsible for such Kansas City landmarks as the Power and Light Building, Corinthian Hall, Longview Farms and many more skyscrapers and mansions.

The art work in the common areas show some of the buildings designed by Hoit and his firm.
